Mr. Lopez's Math Class
WELCOME BACK LIONS!!!!!!!!!
Hope you had a great summer and are ready for some Math! This year is going to be a fun, challenging and exciting year.
This year we will be using a new textbook from McGraw-Hill. It is available online at http://connected.mcgraw-hill.com
. On this website students can view the entire book in English and in Spanish, watch tutorial videos, communicate with the teacher via messages, and much more. It truly is an interactive experience for the students and the teachers alike. I encourage the students play with the website frequently so that they may become familiar with its functions and capabilities.
Parents, you have access to view your child's progress on your own from home. You will need to create an account with the districts "Parent Portal". This is a great tool that allows you to check on everything from missing assignments, current assignments, and of course their grade. You can check it at your convenience when ever you want 24/7. Just click on the link below to sign up!
As the year comes near its end, I need your help more than ever to ensure that our student finished this semester strong. I still have many students not turning in work on time, or sometimes not at all. Please make sure and check to see if they have homework. We regularly have homework at least 3 times a week.
